WHoa! LCA's + panhard installed

I just installed my boxed in stock LCA's and Lakewood adj panhard last night. I already had Eibach prokit, steering brace, WS6 sway bars, MAC-style SFC's, and polybushings all the way around. I felt the difference the INSTANT I pull out of the driveway. I never realized how crappy the stock rear susp was before last night. HUGE difference. I felt slight differences with each of the other mods I did. But this seemed to just tie eveything together.

If you have not done this already, don't hesitate!

My axle feels like its sitting right under me whenever I put power to the rear or push it around a corner. Before it seemed like my rear was always 10 feet behind me and confused about what to do.

I think you have to buy some quality steel plates,
then cut to fit, weld to existing stock ones, and
maybe spray bomb or even powercoat when done.

My guess, but I just went with Spohn parts my self,
BIG difference!

Matt- Are you still looking for L98 exhaust manifolds? I tried PMing you and emailing you, but got no response. Let me know.

sorry its taken me a little bit to reply: busy week!

Well...I did not want to spend $100 for better LCA's. So I printed out what the SLP boxed in OEM LCA's look like, bought some steel 'flat bar', ans took it to my welding guy to box them in. Took them home, shot them w/ anti-rust primer and then a few coats of anti-rust black paint. I thought about changing the bushings to poly, but my ride is way stiff as it is so I just kept the rubber.
Grand total was $35.

I went with a lakewood adj panhard at the same time, so its hard to say which specific item felt a certain way. The combo is an absolute blast.

All week since I have done it, I have this feeling of 'oh I can't wait to drive my car again'. It made driving the camaro fun again. Way more responsive.

Metallicamaro: I did get your mail. I'm sorry I have not replied. I have about 1 more week of scholastic hell and then I'll be able to think about that manifold stuff. Thanks you. I'll be in touch w/ you soon.

MDFormula: Was that you who had the pics of all your suspension mods laid out in your garage. DUDE! You are going to have some fun with that install. Its funny how GM says they were trying to create a better handling f-body (vs horsepower) when they created the 3rd gen, but man some of the components they used are crap. It really will feel like a completely different car when you are done.

Good luck guys

How did you install the LCAs?

Can the rear just get jacked up and then swap one side at a time or does it have to sit flat on a lift?
