Im proud of my car!
Well tonight, i was driving back from my youthgroup with one of my friends and i raced a suped up white VW (like the one in the one that Jessie(?) drove in the fast and the furrious but a newer one). I passed him on the same street all my races usually happen on and he was behind 4-5 cars in the other lane, he saw me pass and then got over and pulled up next to me (i was doing about 25mph) and then he dropped it and then i did too. He was with me almost the whole way from 25-60 then i started pulling away so he decides to hit the NOS and comes right back up to my door and then i still start pulling away. He pulls up to me again at the next light and we went from a stop, he got me a little off the line (not even a half car length) then i started pulling away and he tried to use his NOS again but didn't do the trick. After i let off he signaled me to go into the 711 parkinglot and we talked about our cars, he was actually a really nice guy. I guess he runs 13.5's. Anyhow i was just so excited and proud of my car to beat a suped up ***** with NOS plus it was my first run against a car with NOS. :lala:
if you say NOS one more time... How do you know he had NOS? Maybe he had Zex or TNT or Edelbrock... Did he have stickers or something that said NOS on it? Nitrous dam it!! NITROUS!! ahhhh stop watchin F&F. At least in the new one they call it "spray" and not "naaaws" and it should be pronounced as naaws... its an acronym. Nitrous Oxide Sytems... NOS.. so its really N-O-S. good run by the way.
and i was joking before... not flamin ya!

not bad kyle, if you beat him then i cant wait to get the camaro up against you, i took down my brothers, friends intagra, check here for the story.
but if not the Z then for sure the bird, but no offence, but if it happends the way i want, you will be smellin some high octane.
im lookin towards a single turbo TPI 305, with a blower cam, worked heads, and SLP runners along with a ported plenum, and a few other mods. i also hope to have it backed with a T-56.

clearly, you guys are having problems with the NOS/naws/nitrous issue.
This of it this way...When you want a soft drink, what do you call it? A big, big portion of the population calls it coke. A typical question and answer could go like this:
"Do you want some coke?"
"Yeah"
"What Kind?"
"Dr. Pepper"
Get my point?

all i know about my cam is that is a 268* comp cam that is compatible with TPI cars. It doesn't sound loopy at all eccept maybe a slight detection that most people dont even notice.

lol! You sound just like my mom. I'm originally from Cali, and my folks moved back there a few years before I got married, so eveyrtime she calls, she has something to say about Texans to try an co-ourse (sp?) us to move to Cali.
quit bitchin about NOS
if someone wants to call it NOS then thats their perogative, you guys need to chill out and stop making a big deal of this whole issue. if someone says NOS you know what they mean so just let it go, i cant believe we waste posts on this kinda ****.
ahhhhh shhhaaadaaap! R*cers call it NOS(noun. Naws)... People that know what there talkin about call it nitrous or some other name, but not NOS... its just how it is man... get with the program... now back to the race!!
You dont see many hopped up VW's, or at least i dont unless its thoes dam GTI's, and thoes are rare. But you dont see many jetta's with REAL performance stuff on it. Now that i have the car on the road, i dont see as many r*cers as there was last year, even after the new 2f2f movie.. I guess they all sold there civics and got challengers and yenkos? Maybe they finaly got the hint? I hope they dont start buying thirdgens and trashing them out and giving us a bad name.. bad enuff with the ******* crap.

Not that whole nitrious isn't NOS argument...its a proprietary eponym...Coke, Kleenex, Xerox, Scotch Tape, Hi-Liter, Levi's, Wite-Out, Popsicle, Styrofoam. Jell-O, Post-It, Velcro. Thermos, Saran Wrap, Vaseline, Q-Tips, Chap Stick, Walkman.....all proprietary eponyms of which I'm sure we all use at least one if not all...why does everyone get their panties in bunch when someone calls nitrious NOS...big deal get over, it its the market leader and what became popular first...people were calling it NOS before F&F came out and I don't think its gonna stop...just one of those things that you just gotta let go. As long as you know that NOS isn't necessarily Nitrious Oxide be happy.
Oh yeah and nicec kill =) My mom just traded in her 2002 Jetta VR6 for a 2003 TrailBlazer. The Jetta was a nice peppy little car it would hand my car its *** just in stock form. You can get some decent numbers out of a properly tuned VW.
