They are short but they are universal is why.
The back doesn't have the same radius as the hood itself and in order for them to look nice you bota pop rivet or screw em down or whatever and blend em. brb going to find you the how to link.
If you have a 2.8 though and you lok at were the snorkels are for intake they are right were they would need to be in order to work as ram air for a 2.8. This was done for looks I don't have 500 dollars plus 10 or more for shipping on a ram air fiberglass hood and if I did it best be perfect when I get it because I am not giving 300 or 200 or more for a hood I have to work on to get it nice that's wrong. So I found mine on ebay and just decided my cars a project car I'll see how it looks and thoose stick on scoop fomr lund wouldn't work at all way too small. we got em on the s10 they don't work on our huge hoods. I was originally going to go w/ a l-88 hood scoop but found the ram air so I got it instead.
THIS is a sticky on top of the page in the body and interior section of this site. link...
https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=230790
check my sig on bottom for my website addy and check out the pics of my scoop and prgress on page 5 of it.
or here this is easier....
www.cardomain.com/memberpage/509905/5
I done you a favor and found this for ya and stuff man please pm me pics or links to the other car w/ my hood scoop on it i want to check it out the copy cat!!!! lol
As I've said before I hate to pass on info because it was my idea and original but people would have found it eventually and posted about it so I wanted to be the 1st and I'm here to help anyway I can.

Hey Rex, any chance you have a bond on scoop in the big block stinger style cowl like below ( pictured on 4th gen from your site)? Or do you plan on making it for a third gen?

So I can get a full length stick on WS6 Style Ram Air Hood for my Firebird for $110? Is this a functional scoop? where does the air come out on the sucker?

FYI in IE that link goes no where. But in mozilla it will work and it take me to

That meta tag you chose for the forward doesn't work in every version. Might be easier to just use the full one or most hosting sites offer free domain forwarding.

Id PM it to ya but you don't have that option.
This code is a tad better as it will work with anything no matter how old or new. May not be the " cleanest but it works no matter what. I tried to fix your code in front page but something is missing or wrong that neither it or I know.

just save the file and view it in note pade.

I would really like the big block hood to be made for the 3rd gen Firebirds/T.A.'s. If they are already made, I'm not able to find them listed on your site.
If they aren't made, I'll ask again... any chance that they will be made for the third gen birds? I won't be going the bond on route. Adding more weight to an already heavy metal hood won't be an option.

Do you happen to have the measurments or close to it for a Ram Air scoop? I want to know if it is wide enough to where I could mold it on an IROC hood I have laying around? Or are the IROC indentions wider then the R/A scoop? I do body work and I like the idea of $110 compared to $400+. Thanks!

Hello Send me a email at rex@americansportscar.com and let me know the part # of the hood you want the scoop out of an I can build it as wide as you will need it to be, inorder to bridge any vents you have in your hood. Rex

Personally I don't like how far back the hood scoops are on the hood. What would be really cool is to have a double domed formula hood bulge scoop (symetrical), but in the stock 1" size instead of the like 2-3" sizes I have seen.

I don't like how far back the hood scoops are on the hood
the scoops will be no more far back !
cause REX will make Scoops based on the RAI and RAII
ASCD hoods !
it will be the whole thing..ready to bond on !
i guess they come with grilles and decals !
I get my scoop from rex ..and not the universal one
Rex mail me for the shipping thing !
