AH! AH!! NO, stay away from the edelcrap! Have you seen those headers? NOT, I repeat NOT!! a performance choice. 1 5/8.. but when you look down at where they 'collect', they pinch/flatten it down. You so that would be a nono on the edelcrap. Look at the collectors. The first pic would be the edelbrock. The second would be Hooker (2055's) i think, just as an example.. I'm sure hedmen's are similar to the hooker...

I like that picture, is says "madrel bent tubing for unrestricted flow and more power" then just below that you see the flattend pipes never noticed that befor

guess I will be looking at headers a little more closely

I have the Edlebrocks and visually they look to be restrictive but a few other guys say they are laying down some good power with them although I seem to missing some by my 1/4 times.

well if you look at my sig, i currently have edelbrocks, and as my first mod, took 3/4 of a second off my 1/4 mile times. so i cant say they are too bad. but now that i dont smog i want some new shorties without the airtubes, so i decided hedman could be a good choice once i get them ceramic coated.

Hooker now offers their shorties for the Camaro in stainless steel. Once my current Hooker's wear out I'm going for the stainless ones and never worry about headers again

Hmmm, 2460-2HKR. Hadn't seen them before. Over $500 from Summit. And, they're still just 2460's. They don't come with y-pipe, although a poor one is available.

Too bad they aren't offering the 2055's in stainless. Although, ceramic coating offers both corrosion protection and a thermal barrier.

how good are the 2055's compared to long tubes? what are the differences in sound, and torque and hp? what about 1 3/4 vs 1 5/8th, how do the slp's stack up against the 2055s?

i have a pretty decent setup and my hedmans are done. i think i have around 350 hp at the wheels. i'm looking for a deep, powerful sound.
