I had thought about that a long time ago, but hadnt went for it.
Looks good thought. How about a 91-91 z hi rise wing.

A good candie or pearl color would look good on it.

I will warn you there will proably be alot of people on here that dont like it, so keep you chin up. People just have different taste.
Thats what keeps the car industry going.

One more angle. I tried to paint it with my photoshop program so that I can find a color that looks right on the actual car. Guess I need some painting lessons.

I think is it looks sooooo SWEET. Camaro front and firebird rear. The Turbo hood just finishes the job(thats my favorite hood wish i had one). Be proud driving that around, its a super f-body.

GREAT JOB, looks nice, also said before, hood is great finisher, I used to have one on my 84Z28. one suggestion, take off all the camaro and firebird badges and chevy and pontiac, and replace with the firebird gripping the chevy symbol or something, so the combo is complete, and some combo of the chevrolet/pontiac on it, confuse the crap outa cops, tie in a camaro 3pc spoiler instead of the firebird one too, so the rear ties in with the front a lil more, but maybe not. good job

One slight problem, the front fenders have the crimped edge fender flare of the Chevy and the back has the smooth rolled edge of the Pontiac! Ruins the lines a little bit.

Looks nice but I personally would change the front to the smooth.

What color are you going to paint it?

Hey kaps, nice idea about combining the 2 badges. That would proly be a great finishing touch for this custom car. I'd have to do a double take if i saw this car like that.

One question, with all the mods and bypasses how are you gonna get that thru NJ inspection? I know in edison they take extra care checking everything. Took me a couple months to find someone who would "sell" me a sticker. They're a pain in the a$$ now with that.

Thanx for the coments. Any sugestions on a color? I have more mods to do, so for now I just need a basic paint job so that the car is all one color. Plus the motor will probally come out again so i dont really want to pay for a super nice paint job & scratch it up working under the hood! Do anyone know of a paint shop that's not to expensive in Jersey?

Maaco will paint it real cheap, but you get what you pay for, crap paint job. You just need to be real stubborn and take the car back if you find a smear or drip. The only Maaco in jersey with a decent reputation is in North Brunswick I think, or maybe east, but its in one of the brunswicks, lol, Ill check it out for ya, my car is going in for a Maaco job in the summer, dont have the $$ for a real one. One tip, if you have any crappy wheels and rims put them on it, cause they have a tendency of adding paint to them too. 4 out of 4 cars I know that were painted there got painted tires and rims back.

I like it a lot. I've always liked TA taillights more than Camaro taillights and I like the Camaro nose better than the TA. Nice job man.

Cool idea! Lose the turbo hood though..it reeks of 80's cheese. Try a Formula hood or an L88 scoop for a more "integrated" look.

I dont understand people saying it looks like 80's cheese or crap, your ENTIRE car is from the 80's, with the exeption of 3yrs? Im not saying put pink leotards for seat belt pads or anything...
both hoods you mentioned arent new designs, both ome stock on 80's cars. not trying to start a flame or anything, idunno...

I think it looks great!! Now all you need is another 3rd gen so you can put a t/a front with a Camaro back. About a color,.....I'm thinking white........I truly do love white........or Yellow,...yellow is good too...or maybe gun metal gray........ok ok...I'm no help. Sorry.

I think a cowl induction hood would look better. but that is my 2 cents. I think the turbo is too "80s" too.
but yea the car looks good.

turbo hood = 500 bucks, not easy for most poeple to put aside and buy another 3-500 dollar hood...just my 2 cents.I think the hood looks great on it,it kinda matches the spoiler.

"Here is my Creation"

Zepher,

You forgot to Photoshop the mirrors.

I really like your car, but I think I would use a less military looking color. That color is kind of battleship gray.

Keep up the good work, car looks is coming along great!

Vailsburg, Not to far from Seton Hall College. Now, about the hood. It came off my Iroc Z. I bought that hood in about 94'. I paid around 450 for it with shipping included. I cant justify paying another 450 for a hood when I have so many other things to do to my car. I have my Cyberdine digital dash( Very beautiful) that was made for my Iroc that I want to intergrate into the dash some how. What do you guys think about that Idea?

For those who have Trans Ams. Would U give up the gauges across the whole dash for the ones on the Camaro?

Those Cyberdyne gauges looks bad az hel at night! If I can think of a way to mount the camaro cluster & hide the stock trans am stuff It will really liven the interior up for late night crusin with the T-Tops off!

Looks great...I always wondered how that would look...and for those suggesting the formula hood...I agree...but think about the trouble he would have to go through since he has the camaro front end on it. I think you should put the '91-'92 Camaro gfx on the car....even though the ones you have on it now look great....then put a Z28 high rise spoiler...then go for either the SS hood or the stock one that came on the '91-'92's(the ones where instead of having the louvers there is a rise in the hood...that is the nicest looking stock hood for camaros in my eyes). Then I would keep the TA gauges...b/c in my eyes the TA gauges look so much sportier and more muscular. My friend with a Camaro always wishes that he had the TA gauges in his car like mine has with the circles going across the dash. And if you are looking for a digital dash they make ones for TA's where you keep the original gauges and just swap these in...here is a pic. Beautiful car and I cannot wait to see it painted good work.

James
