I am gonna have 2210's, after the colector, go oval and into a spintech dual 3" muffler. (oval). and then have 2 90* bends, so that i can aim the pipes tword the sides. then some tips (oval).
Think this will work/look/sounds good?????

There was someone on here that had duals with oval pipe and two spintechs dumping right before the rearend. It is a sweet setup, but I can't find the thread for the life of me.

Oh well...
Hey I was thinkin of using that single 2 3" in, 2 3" out muffler, so it acts as a crossover. Any thoughts on this.
Or do u think 2 single 3" ones would be bettter

Hell yeah, that is exactly what I wanna do exept have side exits maybe. Looks awsome, and ground clearance looks like it would be great too!
Wow.
I can't wait to pay off this motor and get to the pipes, thx for the Pix

Browse away. Just don't expect to find any ebay deals on these like you can with a flowmaster. They even have some low profile ones that are 2 1/4" thick.

I know the tires are lower cuz the lift, but still with a stright pipe set up like that, I bet you can tuck the sh.... out of it and have them right up against the floor boards to squeez out every last bit of clearance there is. Any pros/cons of exiting on the sides, instead of under? I am worried that under will shake the car inside with the rumble. Side exits will help this problem I think.
i hate tossing my old pipes......anybody want a full set up from headers to tips? hehe.

I just finished a dual 3" setup on my car. the ground clearance is decieving with pipe that large. Instead of a lift I set the car on cinder blocks so all the weight was on the tires. My converters and x-pipe limited the ground clearance in the middle, but the rest tucked right up.
I find the Spintech sound like flowmasters. Cutopens of both mufflers show similar baffle type construction. I went with two round Ultr Flows.

Any pics of your set up ^^^^^???
Anyone have any idea if it is a good idea to use a dual oval inlet muffler as an X-pipe (spintech) and then run oval pipes to side exit tips..... any input please. THX

Here's the link to my post of it on the Ontario board.
The pictures are from before I got a chance to actually hang it, so it's tucked up higher, my worst point of ground clearance is about 2 1/2" at the CATS.

iceman02......I cna't find these low profile ones. What are they called? Do you have any sound clips? Have you had any clearance problems at all? Thanks. I live in a place that is very flat and the roads are great. I also NEVER see speed bumbs but I would still like to have the assurance taht I am not scraping. Thanks.

Unfortunately, I still haven't installed my Spintech.... my Hooker headers wouldn't fit so I sold the car..... and bought a new one! So I'm having to start all over. http://www.spintechmufflers.com/spin...%20Muffler.jpg
Here is the low profile spintech muffler.... they are called the cruiser series. So you can go to their website and the cruiser muffs are under street performance.
Oh yea, those pics aren't my car, but ones I found on this board a year or so ago.

If you don't like your f/m then you won't find a difference with a Spintech. They are essentially the same thing.

They sound totaly different than flowmasters, which is why I bought a spintech. Speaking of which, I'm torn between getting the oval setup or going with a couple of bullets due to the small size of them. Got the hooker headers in and it'll be a pain with that oversized hunk of metal crossmember I got from Spohn.

What do you meen about the thing from spohn?
I am thinkin about going with oval pipe and then using a cruiser muffler, only 2 1/4" thick. If I can tuck the pipe and mount the mufflers flat against the floor, I can't imagine clearance to be bad.

Spohn's crossmember is a joke when it comes to ground clearance. It's the lowest point on my car and it's a pain in the **** to build an exhaust system around it. Here's an old picture of the underside.

Right. I am aware of the low-ness of the X-member. Your pipe looks nice, but I need a crap load of flow for the set up I am running. You think there is room under there for the mufflex Y pipe? Does anyone know if it drops lower than the bottom of 2210s? I can mod it if I have to. I really wanna put one in just to simplify the problem. Only one pipe to deal with.

As I said, that's an old picture... that exhaust setup is long gone. The way the 2210's dump they're pointing right at the crossmember and are really close to the trans. The collectors and the crossmember are at about the same level. You're either gonna have to build a new crossmember or wrap around it which is lame. I'm probably going to end up making a new crossmember if I can't find a good way to do things.

What about heating up the pipe and dimplimg or something like that? I am just shooting from the hip as they say, with these ideas. I have no idea what this is going to be like. Maybe a very quick bend or somediagonal pipe to get out of the way of the X-member. I guess all I can do istall everything and then design my pipes. I have asked in at least a dozen threads about a good flowing set up for lowered 2210 set ups where price is not an issue, and have not found a good answer yet. I heard the Mufflex Y is lower than the collectors. That sux. I might still get it, cuz it is so cheap and gives me a good place to start modding. Maybe cutting chunks of it and welding can get it to fit better in the tunner. Also beating the crap out of the floor to make a bit more room under there.
Either that or back to PLAN A: oval pipe straight back and thin 3" thick spintechs with dumps.
PLAN B: Mufflex Y pipe, then 1 or 2 mufflers in line and mounted to the floor, to tuck and single massive dump.
PLAN C: mufflex Y and a mufflex Cat-back. All 4"
Ugh this **** is getting out of control

I think what you'll have to do is lay under the car and stare at it for a while with everything in place. I'm picking up some mandrel bends, and tubing over the weekend to start looking at how to do mine.

That was my first plan WAY back in the day. I am just in "spend $ mode" right now, so I wanted to buy all the things I needed.
That is what I have to do for sure, and there is no doubt about that.
Patience I guess.
Then maybe a mufflex Y pipe and a blow tourch. I think I can heat it up enough and hammer it to gain clearance. We will see...
