No issues that I have seen. Have used their stuff in my diesel, bike and sandrail. So far so good.

Royal Purple.....ever since I witnessed a 15HP increase on the dyno, by changing to RP from regular......mind you this was on an 800HP motor, but you get the point!!

I saw an episode of crank and chrome I think it was on tnn a while back, might have been another one of those car shows, but anyways, they did a complete swap on an LS1 camaro to fully synthetic redline oil throughout and picked up 10 rwhp on the dyno. I was sold on synthetics ever since.

I have heard bad things about royal purple. The viscosity seems to break down after a couple thousand miles and cause premature wear on parts. There was a guy who recently ran an oil analysis on 5w30 royal purple over on LS1.com and the results were not very good at all! It came back as a 20 weight oil and there was an excessive amount of metal fragments in the analysis!!!!!!!!!!! Doesnt sound too good to me! Needless to say, I will not be using their oil any time soon.

Penzoil???
Personally I use chevron or castrol for most applications, just because its cheap oil that does not contain parifin wax. For my camaro, its all mobil 1 though. Never had any problems with their 10-30 weight.
Whatever you do, avoid these oils: All Penzoil, Quakerstate and Superflo (Exxon) products, as well as B&M trick shift and some pyrol products. Valvoline, Castrol, and Mobil 1 are all decent and do not contain any parifin wax, although Castrol Synthetic oil is not 100% synthetic. (Mobil 1 sued them a while back for that one)
Lucas Oil additives work great, I do have to say. The oil stabilizer (looks like 90w140 when its comming out) stopped my ford from blowing smoke at startup, and it does not eat nearly as much oil (it has blown piston rings).

Quaker State is the 'only' thing thats been in my Z28. Ever since March 9, 1992. It might contain those waxes but it hasnt did any damage yet in my 148,xxx mile motor and it runs perfect. I'm afraid to switch over to synthetic cuz of seal breakage.

Nothing but Mobil 1 synthetics in my car. I have never heard of any other oil outperforming it, ever.

Ive heard that a few major top fuel teams use redline and have it secretly shipped to them in plain, unlabeled bottles so that their sponsors won't have a fit that they are using a different company's oil.

Parafin Wax
No major brand of oil has contained Parafin Wax for about 20 years, including Penzoil, the stories you hear about it are from the 60's and 70's.

What alot of people don't realize is that some times it's all just over kill.
For instance. "Wow that racers using that type of oil. Know I'm going to start using it."
But then you just get carried away and start thinking your car can run nitro methane.
Come tell me who else doesn't think this? Be honest.
But truthfully it's not a bad idea to invest in quality things for your car. But just don't get carried away, just so you can say "I'm running race oil" just to drive to Dairy queen or something.
Ahh what the heck go for it.

Car: Check The Sig
someone tell me if this is true. If after you drain your transmision of all its fluid, and then add synthetic to it, that it will cease up.. I know this is not true for engines, but what about AT's? im thinking of putting Redline or RP in it.. does RP make an coolant additive too?
edit: You have a DQ in Canada? thats it... mASS. is now the worst state out of all 50... there is nothing here.. sorry... i just hate New England so much.

That's not
We do so have DQ.
Well the only way I could see your tranny seizing is, emptying all the fuild then taking the viecle out for a spin. But then again it probably wouldn't change gears.
Go for it tell us how it works out.
I myself just ad a friction modifier and my tranny seems to shift better.

I use Mobil1 synthetic, i like it, but mobil1 tranny fluid apparently isn't completely synthetic, so i would use mobil1 in oil and rearend, but use redline in tranny, that seems to be the safest way so far that ive heard of

Motul is whats going in the Camaro when the motor breaks in.
When I change the gears....
When I have the 700R4 rebuilt...
I have it in all my family member's cars, and its great. I noticed a little more power over the Mobil 1.
