Roll Bar in Hot Rod Mag (Convertable)
Not sure where to post this so I'm Posting in a few places.
In the December issue of Hot Rod Mag after the Hot Honey's
There is a Third-gen 91 Convetable with a cool Roll Bar.
The Car is owned by Roy Fender of Huntersville, NC
Dose anybody No where to get or Have a Roll bar made like
that one or have any detailes so I could have one made.
I would really like one like that in my Convertable.

Its a Roll over/styleing bar, not to be used as a Roll Bar, basically it will help out in a rollover but there are no guarantees. Its the same idea as the ones for the 4th gen verts and mustang verts that are available, it was actually a 4th gen one that he tore apart and completely redesigned it and yes he is working on having them reproduced. Not sure when they will be available last I talked to him he was shooting for spring 04!

id rather have a real roll bar thats styled afterward then a style bar.... but like TPI383 said in the last thread, if you can make one from a regular hoop, no reason i cant have my cake and eat it too!

personally I see no point to a roll bar in a vert, most roll bars in vert affect the functionality of the top and besides it defeats the purpose of having a vert. Thats my opinion. The biggest problem is the fact that the modified structure of the car for the top etc. affects access to the subframe support structure needed for a roll bar (not sure if I worded that right). Thats the reason vert roll bars are usually custon jobs. You'll have to completely modify the rear panels for a real roll bar. I won't be doing a whole lot with my car to deem needing a roll bar so a style bar would be fine with me, I have my 69 to be my go fast car when its done .

believe me...
i REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY DONT want a rollbar.
but i want to run silver state.... i want to take it down the strip, and i want to run autoX.
all thoes require one.
and as far as im concerned, every real roll bar is a custom job. its not somthing you can just bolt in and have it be good enough.
im not modding thoes irreplacable side panels... its going to be JUST behind my drivers seat, infront of the panels.. the bars will have to go to where the back of the back seat was... cause otherwise it will effect both the top and tonneau....

As far as the TGR one, it was supposed to be ready in January... I remember emailing him last October, and he said it would be done around the beginning of the year... well here we are, a year later, and nothing yet... Id really like to hear the progress of this as Im really interested in one.
