I recently pulled off the ugly purple tint to make way for some new 15% all around, and I guess I never really noticed it b4 but my driver side window has about a 2" vertical scratch on the inside, that I think is from the window pad that guides the glass down. Anyway, is there way to fix that or is it a trip to the junkyard for some new glass? The scratch itself doesn't feel bad at all, but I have no idea what I could do to solve the problem.

Depends how deep the scratch is. You could try buffing it out. But you'll probably end up in the junkyard...

I have the same problem. Your best bet would be to get a product called "Zaino Brothers Glass Polish" it's the last thing you can do before having to get your windows changed. Here's the link, it's not cheap, but it does a really nice job.

Thanks, I just ordered a bottle, I figure it is worth a shot....but to avoid future problems with scractching, do you guys know where I can get new window guider things (not 100% sure what there called)?
Hopefully this stuff will work, if not its off to the boneyard, also would you guys no a ball park figure on what i can expect to pay for a driver side window from them if all else fails?

yea the classifieds on here or pm 82 iron duke. hes a big name on the site and him and a few other guys opened a "virtual junkyard" its pretty much a fbody junkyard that you can get parts from by talking to them online. if you go to the classifed section of this site you'll find one section is labeled virtual junkyard and you can post a thread to see if them have what you need or just pm duke.

if you can feel the scratch with your finger, You cant fix it.
My Brother in law ownes an auto glass buisness. There is a special compound for buffing out glass. But like I said, if you can feel it, your going to get need a new glass.

yah, i figured as much (if I could feel it its unfixable), but I can't but I just kept goign at it and trying to fix/clean it, and got no where. Are these special compounds pretty much the only thing that would do the trick?

I think ebay is the only option for those. I am assuming you are talking about the guides/stops on the inside of the glass? There are 2 of them.

The Zaino polish is great, I have used it with fantastic results but I did not have any deep scratches. Good luck.
