Re: TTII 17x9.5 3rd gen offset, do they exist?
As I remember the 17x9.5 tt2's can be purchased for the thirdgens, but it is not a standard backspacing that they offer, so they consider it a custom build and charge a bunch more for them. When I was still selling wheels the custom built tt2's were a big PITA, and there there no returns, so some shops don't even offer to order the custom back spaced wheels.

Re: TTII 17x9.5 3rd gen offset, do they exist?
I think that Chevy High Performance did a suspension wheel and tire article a few years back (maybe like 4), and put a Hotchkis suspension package on a 91-91 z28, then showed the improvement the size of wheels and tires had on G-force readings.... anyways, this article they used 17x9.5 tt2's and gave out the backspacing and offset measurement for front and rear wheels along with pricing (at that time).
I don't know if that article is in an archive here, or anyone else has it, but that might help you, OR you could just e-mail American Racing!!!

They are actually a custom order wheel indeed. I just mounted a pair on the rear of my car. They are 9.5 with a 5.5 backspace. You can find them at Summit.

considering that virtually every RWD GM vehicle from the 80s and back used the same offset wheels, it really disappoints me that these aren't one of their standard offerings. Everybody slaps the 8" wheels onto their muscle car instead of the wider stuff. Although I have to admit, that I like the "fat tire" look of a 275 on an 8" wheel better than a 275 on a 9.5" wheel.

Re: TTII 17x9.5 3rd gen offset, do they exist?
I had to custom order mine when I got them. If you are running 9,5"s all around - be sure to double check your clearance between the inside of the rim and tie rod. I would've had conflict on mine if I had gone 5.5" up front - so I went 5.25" front and 5.5" rear.
Also, if you have - or are planning on - a C5 front brake swap, the spokes of a 17" TT2 wheel WILL conflict with the calipper and requires modifications to the calipper and/or spacer. So you'll need to compensate for that on your backspacing if you are gonna have a 17" TT2 and C5 brake combo.

NO not the one I was talking about, but I do remember that car... Tbi with some real grunt. The article I was talking about was much older than that, and it was a black 91-92 Z28, probably dating myself here.
