Mirror tints....
Does anyone know what im talking about? Has anyone looked into getting the mirror/ "frosted" tint on their cars? what did it look like and how much was it?

I know what you are talking about. I've seen it on other cars, and it is sweet. The windows look silver, and you can't see in. Its probably illegal.

I dont care if its legal ehhee thats what a pba card is for... ive seen it a few times but ti isnt common at all. it thought it would give my car a bit of unique flavor. I was just wondering if its much more then regular tints... I mean id pay like 200-250 for it but not much more cause reg tints are only like 125-150 professionally done.

Mirror tint will get you big tickets...I know a few people that have mirror tint here in Philly and they have all been ticketed for it in the past. Some tint shops won't even put it on. The mirror fade tint seems to be ok though...That has a chrome line at the bottom that fades up to black at the top. If you don't mind getting pulled over a lot then put it on. If you don't then put regular tint on or the fade tint.

It's not bad..I like it. I haven't seen any 3rd gens with it around here, so it would really make your car unique.

Mirrored tint is availabe at Lowes and/or Home Depot, it's for house windows to help reflect heat (have it on my windows at home & a buddys 86 F150). Only at certain angles is it silver, otherwise it's as dark as 35% tint. It's roughly the same price as the black tint at Autozone, Pepboys, etc. I'm sure the pros use something else but, I'm not a pro.

hmm, ill have to get back to ya, seeing that i am in hs i dont get a chance to hang out w/ real cars (all 8 cylenders are there) but i hang out w/ alot of rice, they have the stickers, and when you get one all you have to do is show the cop the sticker and all is good. but when you get the sticker you have to put it on first befor the tint or else it wont show there :-). i will get back to you though

Before I tinted my Firebird I called around asking about the mirrored tint and was told it's illegal and they will not install it because it fades and bubbles to quickly, and they can't warranty it.
Most shops will install anything you ask them because you are liable for it. If it was against the law than no offroad vehicle or drag/race vehicles could be worked on in a shop. I found this out when talking to the muffler shop about removing my cat.
PS. What sticker are you talking about?
