Trading my Harwood hood for a V8, Which hood should I go with now?
Whats everyones preference? Trading my Harwood cowl for a 305 engine plus a stock hood, so I may consider the stock hood plus the hood blisters? Color will be Hugger Orange as well with silver ZR1 wheels.

Find a 350 block and build it. Keep your harwood. Is your car ready to be swapped from 6 to 8? If its not build your motor while you are getting it ready. I would put in something a little better than a 305 IMO. Or at least build the 305 w/Heads/ cam/ forged internals ect. I have bought 2x 350 blocks for under 250$ one of them was never used and another was fresh .40 over and resurfaced.
If you have to trade your hood for the 305. The stock hood and blisters are nice. Blisters were always a favorite of mine.

In all honestly, I dont care what engine is in it as long as it has the v8 sound, can drive it reliably wherever-whenever and has a little get up and go. I have two other cars, ones a 11 second car and the other runs mid 12s so I have "quick" cars. Just looking for a nice cruiser/everyday summer driver with this one. Plus I have a T5 behind it so I dont want to kill it and I want to have some fun too every now and then.
I hate to get rid of my hood, but guess I can always get another one or rock the hood blisters if I can locate a set.
As far as the V8 swap goes, I need to get an intake and distributor. I have a carb, fuel pump, regulator, v8 springs/sway bar, wonder bar, v8 gauges. Im gonna run the v6 until it goes though and get the rest of the car set up for it first.

The T5 is not going to fit on the 305 if its from a v6. So your looking at a new trans too because I didn't see it in your list. Im sure there are other things as well Ive never had a v6 camaro so I don't know exactly but I know the trans will be a problem.

nope: ur looking at a diff. bell. witch will cost time and a lil money if u dont do it ur self.
KEEP UR HOOD< GET A 350 and BUILD IT.. its way cheeper to build a 350 (with more hp/tq then a 305 for the money)

By the way, my T5 is doing just fine behind my 350 and I've run a best of a 13.8 so far. Not blistering by any means, but provided you don't drive it like an animal, a T5 will do ok behind a mild 350.

You need more than the bellhousing to use a T5 from a V6 car. The input shaft on the transmission is different, so you'll have to use the V6 clutch, but you'll still need the V8 pressure plate, and that's assuming that the two will even work together.

If you're not gonna beat on it, the v8 T5's can be had for 300 or less... I wouldnt even sweat buying one. I remember thinking I'd have to replace 5 T5's to pay for a T56... but I decided my time was worth more to me and I didnt want to worry about having to pull the trans if I got on it a little hard.
