Do you have some other messy hole that you do the actual work in because that looks like a photo shoot set! A hot model model polishing the car may have made some heads explode. I painted my garage and thought that was cool but this........ Definitely wow.

Re: New Garage Flooring Installed
Thanks guys
Install was super easy, glad I went with the racedeck. I do have another garage....but it's still pretty clean! Try to keep my stuff in good shape!
I usually have my 5th gen in my new garage, but we're doing heads, cam, fuel system upgrade, smaller pulley, & tune. Figured I'd put the ol' thirdgen in the new garage for awhile

Re: New Garage Flooring Installed
That's sick!
Car is beautiful too, but wow...as stated, it doesn't look like the garage is used more like a showroom. Pricey stuff too, would LOVE to do something like that, but I feel my wife would kill me...we put wood floors throughout our hose installed for less than racedeck would cost to fill our 750 square foot garage (house is only a little bigger than that)...like i said, wow. LOVE IT!

That looks awesome Shawn. Interested to see how will this holds up and how easy it is to clean and stuff, so please update us after a while. I have epoxy in mine too and it not looking too good. Still doing paint and spilling fluids and stuff all over the place to hesitant to put in a nice floor like that.

Re: New Garage Flooring Installed
I haven't researched epoxy but it seems like it should do the job. However, a friend had it professionally installed in his garage and after just a couple of months parts of it started to lift. Poor materials or installation? Don't know but it made me think twice about using it.

My garage also looks like junk (but mainly because my mother has stored a whole bunch of stuff along the sides). After my car work is "done" I'll be cleaning the garage up and making it nicer. Also, my garage does not have a drain. None of the garages in the neighborhoods/towns around me have drains.

Re: New Garage Flooring Installed
Looks amazing!!! Great job!
.....for the record, in case anyone is interested, I did the research on the epoxy floor kits, and I went with the Quikrete kit. I had less than $200 dollars in the 2 kits (2 car garage) and some additional supplies. I cleaned the heck out of the floor, but it was in decent shape to begin with. Then, after it was cleaned and acid etched....I etched it AGAIN, with extra acid I bought. Afterwards, I put nothing on it for a few days, as recommended. Don't remember the exact time, but I gave it more time than the instructions called for ...in 5 years I have had NO problems. Not one. Like all things, it's all about prep. I have no complaints!
Not trying to steer anyone away from racedeck, but if you can't afford the racedeck, don't be afraid of the epoxy, as long as you take your time!

Re: New Garage Flooring Installed
Racedeck has an online calculator. My 24'X24' garage cost right around $3,000....
I had the garage built last year and applied a very good epoxy I bought from lowes...actually had to order it. It was a 2 part epoxy....not just the roll on type that cleans up with water. I followed the directions step by step and cleaned the concrete with the acid/etching material in the kit. Everything was fine for about the first year.....then certain parts of it just started to lift. Maybe it was something to do with the concrete being fresh? I waited a month before I applied the epoxy as well....
Racedeck is the way to go if you can afford it...because it is super expensive. But, you'll never had to worry about anything peeling or lifting.

Re: New Garage Flooring Installed
Looks amazing. I have racedeck for car shows, but cant afford my garage! The only issue I see is you definitely have to move slow on it, you can mess it up big time if you accidentally spin your tires.
My garage is a train wreck, and while I could blame lots of things, it boils down to laziness!
