you pretty much stole that setup.
I've got $300 in my dash, $100 of it was frieght shipping since the box was too large for UPS. $100 for the center console, $450 in the leather seats.
$25 for a 97 Camaro cluster (looks cooler than the Firebird ones), $25 for the T/A door panels.

getting it installed correctly.. depending on who does it... and where you are located... i have a 98 camaro interior that i am doing... would have been done by now but i had some other things that came up.... but i got all the wireing done along with the dash installed... anyways.. where are you located at.. you might be able to get someone off here to help you get it in or even do it for you for a decent price..

what you do is in your taste... you could do the dash, console, and panels for relitivly cheap... i know there is a firebird interior that is in a yard localy here in south central pa... the bad is blown but the only thing that was cracked was some of the supports from lookign at it it still would be able to be used with no problems... the dash and console could be had for under 250 without door panels.. or about 300 with them... as for getting all the wireing right.. i thought it would be hard... but after diving in, even some of the small things that some had problems with including pwr mirrors and the hvac stuff.. i got everything working correct even the blend mode... just took alittle thought... if you do it and have any questions there are many here that would be glad to help if you cant find anything you need... if you just wanted help to do it.. depending on when you want it done.. help can be found...

I got my complete interior off eBay for less than a grand.

1996 TA Dash (whole setup) - 275 shipped
2002 TA e-brake setup - 20 shipped
2002 TA Door Panels - 225 shipped
2002 TA Center Console - 100 shipped
7" Monitor - 150 shipped
CD Headunit w/ Aux IN - 80 shipped
X-Box - 150

You know, I just added that up in my calculator and it came to exactly 1 grand.

My carpet is still in top notch shape, same with seats so I didnt bother replacing them.

Now, take away the 7" monitor, the CD Headunit and the X-Box and it is only 620... wow, I wasted a lot of money hahah.

Anyways.. if your primary concern is performance... do your performance upgrades. If you think the comfort level of your interior is more important than going fast (like in a daily driver) then go and do the interior... Or you can do a little of both, get a 4th gen center console, and then some performance mods

When I bought mine I got the dash/door panels from Hawks shipped to me for $450, console from Cali $120 shipped, front/rear seats e-bay for $200, dash pad from e-bay $100. Sucks around here as there are'nt any 4th gens in the bone yard(back then anyways) so shipping in was the only option I had.

BTW I still have the rear seats if anybodies interested since I can't use them. Cloth graphite color out of a 98 bird.

Car: too many ...
$1000 is too much if you ask me. The best way to do it is either part out a 4th gen yourself, or find someone that is parting one out. Just wait for the right deals and you can do the swap for fairly cheap. Buying everything piece by piece is too time consuming, too expensive, and you'll probably still end up missing stuff you need.

Crazy speaks the truth.

I did this, and I'm still missing parts, and didnt even get seats and spent 1000.

I'm still missing the freaking dash pad, guy who sent me the dash sent me the lower dash panels, but not the upper -doh-
