trunk needs adjustment
The trunk(hatchback) on my 83 sticks out to far in the back, about 3/8 inch passed my fenders. Is there any adjustment so I can move it forward?

loosen the 8 13mm nuts on the underside of the decklid. then use a long box cutter blade and cut the black glue till the decklid can be separated from the glass. take your time and have patience while doing this and you will be ready to go.
use black urethane windshield adhesive to seal it up when it is aligned the way you want it.
thanks

i was able to ajust mine loosening the bolts on were the hatch connects to the roof when i took the arm things off but no matter how tight i cranked the nuts a few bumps with the arms reconnected pushed it back to where it was sticking out in the first place so removing the trunk peice is the be st way to go

Try try again. . .
Maybe ya'll aren't understanding me and I thank you for attempting to help me!
I already know the FULL procedure and then some on this issue. I wrote a technical article for thirdgen.org about. . .7 years ago on this. Pictures and everything I know my sign-on date says something in 2000. I joined about 1998ish and guess there was some glitch. . . I'll get over it.
Point is, there is a technical article running around in the internet somewhere (hopefully in an archive for the board) that should be available for all at the link above. . .it ain't working.
Again, thank you for the advice, but not for me.
