Yikes, just made a discovery
I just replaced the gaskets for the float adjustment nut and screw on the speed demon when I found a shot of fuel coming from the rear accelerator pump arm Noticed fuel down on the intake but thought that must have been from one of the gaskets just replaced. Going to take it apart to check it out. Drove the car for a couple days last weekend so I'm glad it didn't catch a spark.

Meh, looks like it was just the 4 screws holding the pump housing not tight enough. Took it apart and checked for any slits in the diaphram and it looked good. No leaks after putting it back together yay.

Of course! If I were to get an extinguisher, I'd rather get the halon type instead of dry chem (corosion factor if used). Expensive little buggers though I guess they're cheep compared to replacing a car though.

just make sure you get out of the car before using it though... halon will suck the o2 out of a fire, and you lungs too if you're in a confined space. why they put then in small private general aviation aircraft, i don't know...
