Need some ideas for a fix for my overflow jug

OK, so my overflow jug has a small hole in it. This isn't a problem until it gets between half way the cold and hot markers. Any ideas to fix it? I thought about putting some clear silicone over it but wasn't sure if the hot coolant would wear it off.

Put a small screw in it if appearance doesn't matter.

I didnt know they were that cheap! Thats probably the cheapest thing I am going to find for this car. I am doing a complete restoration but with that being said, I butchered alot of things on this car when I was younger and regret it.

Hell, if you're trying to pretty it up, pick up one of these baby's and mount that in there. Looks hella nice for under $100, and won't get all skanked up with age like plastic ones do:
