Ok, So I looked around a bit and didn't find much. Seems like everything is more for the t-5. My car's reverse light just cut out. The tail lights seem fine to me. All bulbs work, but neither reverse light works. I tried calling the parts store, but they only seem to have the manual transmission back up light switch too, are these interchangable? Are there any other things I should check first before i try buying the switch from the mainland? I'm out in Hawaii by the way.
92 Camaro, 305tbi 700r4 trans. Hope that helps somewhat.
Also, I noticed, the 2 bolts that are supossed to hold that part in, were not there at all. It kind of just sat in there. Is the piece I have in the picture supossed to go under the tabs or over when you bolt it back in?
Hope this thread helps someone else out sometime. That part in the pics worked. The reverse lights work again, and in addition to that, the car will no longer start up in any gear it wants, has to be in Park, or maybe neutral too.
Thanks man for your help. Now I can switch off from my 92 T-top and my '99 Hardtop Hugger Orange SS . Tryin' to keep the miles low on that one and this will help.
For anybody: AutoZone for exapmle sells a replacement switch for $17. Duralast part # DR414. You just gotta ask an employee who can read, type and think.

I'm having problems with my switch. How did you take yours out? I know I have to unscrew the top and unplug the wires but I can't seem to take it out. The console seems to be in the way. Did you have to take out the console?
Did you have to take the console out? I having trouble with my reverse lights. I can unplug the wire connected to the switch but I don't have room to remove it. It seems that I need to remove the whole console. Is this how you did it?
