Python 990 Install

Alright guys im creating this thread so people like me will have a place to go when trying to install a Python 990.

Right now im stuck on the door triggers.
on the 1992 camaro Z28, Does it have:

[A] Three wire +12v Pulse
[b] Three wire - ground pulse
[C] Directly wired reversing polarity

Once i find out what door lock system i have then ill need to connect the
451M Door lock relay module for python security systems

Can anyone help out with this?

Re: Python 990 Install

Ok i figured out the door triggers. On the H1 harness, use the green wire and connect it to the white wire coming off your door trigger.

I also got the lock/unlock working. Connect the green lock/unlock trigger wire to the black lock wire located in the kick panel. Connect the blue lock/unlock wire to the blue unlock wire in the kick panel.
Ill take pictures of this if anyones interested

Now my problem now is the remote start. Ive got the starter, constant 12V, and the ignition wires hooked up. and it wont do anything, anyone got any clues?

are you sure all the wires are connected? I know most remote start systems utilize the tach signal or volt signal, or possibly a signal from the transmission...

Re: Python 990 Install

i found the wire. attached to the distributor. I had the unit learn the tach and still nothing. Im stummped right now. everything thing else works. the alarm, keyless entry. .... Now if i could just get this remote start to work ill be all set.

The thing that gets me is ... the ignition is suppose to turn on first (guages and lights come on and stuff) and then attemp to start. But Nothing is happening at all when i hit the star button twice or ever three times. Ive check voltage on all the wires.

Re: Python 990 Install

How does the remote start bypass the ignition switch and VATS? The VATS system will completely disable cranking the engine unless it's happy. I don't think it would keep the the dash from powering up though.

Re: Python 990 Install

the tach signal is on the coil, not the distributor... Honestly, I'd go back and check your wiring. There is a wire thats only hot when the key is the crank position...
