Fuse block negative

Not sure if this belongs more in the engine swap or electronics but here goes...

I'm currently in the middle of a v6 to 350 swap. I read and kept in tact the driver side of the wiring harness. I have found what I think is the primary power to the fuse block, which was taken off the old starter. The problem I'm having is finding where the primary negative is. In the driver side "pass through" there is a faded wire that could be light brown or a faded dirty black :P It dosn't seem large enough to be a negative for all the running accessories however.

So now for the question, where is the primary negative and what is the best way to wire the fuse block so that everything functions?

It is of note that I'm running a bare bones set up. Lights and windshield wipers

Re: Fuse block negative

Um???? The negative is grounded right to the engine from the battery. There is no negative in the fues box. The car is the ground!

Its ok, Sometimes you need to just walk away for a bit. Sometimes your better off coming back the next day when your mind is clear.
