retro fit T-56, pro 5.0, jegster tq arm, spohn x-member, clutch flywheel

All for sale and less than 10k miles on it. Shifts great will ship for right price, at this point I will not split it up unless I have buyers lined up for everything. Clutch is spec stage 5 rated at 1000 ft lbs. Surprisingly easy to drive (well, not as hard as I thought). Clutch has less than 1k miles on it. Flywheel is centerforce. The 3" seemless steel custom driveshaft w/ 1350 u-joints and a forged 1350 yoke.

Asking $2,000 obo. With these parts, a killer 6spd is literally a "bolt-in" procedure. Please feel free to laugh, make offers, or ask any questions.

I'm interested. I just need to do research on what the differences are between an LT1 T56 and the retrofit one you're selling. What did you have to do differently when you installed it into your GTA? Did it require a longer/shorter driveshaft? Was the shifter in the correct position? It uses a T-5 style clutch and hydraulic assembly right?

The tranny doesn't shift like new, it's not new, and that's probably why. No gears grind at all though.

What other details do you want about them? This exact tranny can be bought new from spohn for over $2,000 by itself. That doesn't include a bell housing. The clutch I bought from combination motorsports out in california. I'm not sure what else your looking for?

SPEC makes the clutch, it's their stage V. (5)
http://www.cmotorsports.com/93-97-fb...ssion-clutches
And that bit they mention about "not street friendly", is crap. I can drive it just fine, it just takes some finess.

Shipping will be over $200, and for the parts your getting (total over $3000 new) I'm sorry I can't let it go for that.

But the transmission does shift fine, not straight from the dealer fine, but I've always taken very good care of it. Propper break in, fuild change, never shifted w/o the clutch, etc.

$2000 Shipped?

One Last Question About The Tranny, Do you know the 1st and 6th gear ratio's? And Does The Tranny Leak Any Oil From Anywhere?
Also What Else Will I Need Besides All this To Swap The Tranny Into A Third Gen.

Thanks,

I'm sorry but I don't have any pictures. It's currently still in the car.
Oh, and about leaks, it had a small rear seal on the tailshaft that leaked, but has now been replaced and no longer does so. So no leaks.

I also have a couple different shifter handles, I'll let you pick the one you want and/or give em all to ya.

And There Is NO Leaks AT ALL Anymore Correct?

Also Can You Jack The Car Up And Snap Some Pics Of It Just So I Can See It And The Crossmember And Everything?
The 24th I Will Be Down There, [/qoute]
Sounds good
Is There Anyway I Could Go For A Test Drive In The Car Early In The AM, So I Know Everything Works,
That's a negative, the clutch isn't bad to drive, it's the no power steering, skinnies, 9" spool, drag suspention, no sway bars that makes it hard to drive. If it was a stock car w/ 2 seats in it and a 6spd, sure I'd let ya drive it. But I'm not putting a stanger behind the wheel of MY drag car with 700hp in it. I hope you can understand that. I can have all the parts out of the car and ready for pick up by the 24th.
And There Is NO Leaks AT ALL Anymore Correct?[/qoute]
Correct, absolutely NO leaks at all.

Also Can You Jack The Car Up And Snap Some Pics Of It Just So I Can See It And The Crossmember And Everything?
I can barrow a camera, jack it up, take picks, download them, host em, and post them on this site if you'd like, or email them to you. Please allow me to do the picture posting during the weekend as my work week is very busy.

What time do you think you'll be down? The 24th I'll be in Richmond for the indy car race but I can arrange for someone to be there and help you with the parts.

What is your planned payment method?

Feel free to call me, check your PM's. I'm not trying to rip anyone off, just trying to get out of the car hobby.

Yea if you could take those pics I would appreciate it, you can just e-mail them to me at z2868ss@yahoo.com

I will Be Down There Friday (23rd) Afternoon and leaving saturday late afternoon if it will work out better for you i would like to pick it up friday afternoon if it isnt a problem? I would prefer Friday but saturday(24th) isnt a problem, and i will be paying in cash.

I have two more question.

1.With 700hp how did you not blow the tranny when i thought they were only rater for around 400? And with that much HP no damage was done to the gears or case or anything of that sort?

2.Will i need ANYTHING else at all to install into a already manual car?
Just trying to prep myself so i can install it as soon as i get it home.

One last thing could you PM me your address so i can google map some directions to you?

Thanks,

Friday afternoon will work out best for me. What time do you think you'll be here? (so I can let work know if I must leave early).

1. How a transmission is driven is more important than how much power goes through it. The car has run 11.60's on motor. I have never sprayed it to it's full 700hp potential. And many others are running well over 400hp through them with no problems.

2. I'm including everything you need. I would suggest getting a new pilot bearing and throwout bearing depending on how many miles are on the ones in the car now.

Please check your PMs for my address. Hope to see ya friday.

I Will Be Leaving Friday Morning Around 4 AM. Should Be There Around 10:00 - 12:00 Depending On Traffic. I will Call Your Cell When I Am About 30 Min From Your House.Everything Will Be Out And Ready To Go Correct?

Why Will I Need A New ThrowOut Bearing And Pilot Bearing? The Ones Included Are No Good?

Sounds great.

About the bearings, if you really want to use them I can include them, but I just make it a personal habit to not re-use any bearing. Cam bearings, main bearings, rod bearings, pilot bearings, throw out bearings, wheel bearings, etc. The pilot bearing is $10 or something and the throw out bearing is $38 I believe. For me, it's not worth the risk just to save $48.

Yea if you could include them that would be great. But will any auto place have them or will i have to order online? Are they different then any other t56?

Is the throwout bearing a mechanical one or a hydraulic throwout bearing

It's a mechanical one, same part number as the one used in a T-5.
