L98 cam in all SD 90-92 305s check?

I have a '91 Formula with the LB9, N10 opt. dual cats, G80 rear and five speed. Most of the literature says G92 cars came with the L98 cam:

From Tech data on TGO website:

1990-1992
305 5spd / 305 AT 10088155* .350 .384 179 194 109.0
305 G92 5spd / 350 AT 10111773* .413 .428 202 207 114.5 (116/-116)

*roller cams

Should this be amended to say also G80 five speed? Everything I am reading here says I have the L98 cam. Thanks for your input!

IIRC all TPI cars from 1990-1992 used the same Cam... LB9 or L98

It is an easy one

Correct. There have been discrepencies in info over the years, but people have pulled L98 cams from their stock LB9's in the 90-92 years...regardless of options. (G92 or not)

From 86-89 there WAS the "Peanut" cam in the LB9/A4's that was also used in the 86-87 LG4/88-92 LO3 engines.

The 87 L98 cam is almost identical to the 90-92 cam except the 90-92 cam had more lift. The 88-89 Cam was the most aggressive for the L98 engines, but with the MAF it was more restricted. The SD system is why the 90-92 was slightly hotter.

A little off topic, but didn't the 85 TPI cars have a unique cam?

'85 LB9 had the same cam as the L69. Same engines, just different induction.

I believe that the L98 cam in 1987 is similar to the 1985 LB9 cam specs. The obvious difference is rather than roller lifters tho it was for standard hydrolic lifters.
