New wheels, custom nose emblem, and '91/'92 Z28 spoiler on my convertible Z28
I've been pretty busy with upgrades and appearance modifications this winter. In fact today was the first time I have washed the car since October, and this past Thursday was the first time it's been driven since November.
The appearance changes are chrome C5 Z06 wheels with rear Mickey Thompson DR's (previous wheels were chrome ZR1's with street tires), a custom stainless steel nose emblem that I ordered from emblempros.com, and a '91/'92 Z28 spoiler that I modified to fit on my convertible without making any changes to the existing quarter panel caps.
What do you think?

Thats hideous, I should go their & take that car off your hands so you dont have to look at her anymore!!!!!
Hahaa, i love how the rear spoiler looks, gives the car a meaner look. Only yours & Iansane verts i love on here. Great work on her, very tasteful. How much was the nose emblem?

Now you can put on some ghost heritage stripes & lightly darken the front & side blinker lenses. Just an idea.

Thanks man, I'm gonna have to send Ian a PM and make sure he sees the pictures. He's been wanting to see it finished since I cut up the spoiler back in December or January.
When the car gets repainted I'm going to go with brushed steel looking heritage stripes (painted on of course), with a black border.

I'm not a fan of the nose emblem at all, maybe it's just the pic but it looks like a cheap screen print from a computer, but more than that it doesn't fit.
Wheels look good, but the spoiler doesn't look right. I realize the goal was not to mess with the end caps, but I think if you had, and they just went straight back, instead of curving up, it would look a lot better. I like the idea, and it looks like you did good work, but I think the execution could've been a little different. Still not bad though.

the emblem does not quite fit because its for a 4th gen. not sure on the process of how they make the emblems themselves though.
i'm not really a fan of the high rise spoiler, however thats not just limited to your car. nice work on making it fit though. looks like it could have been a pain in the ***.
new wheels look great though.

well i couldnt wait to see the finish product of the rear spoiler!! you did a great job making it fit i like it but i dont at the sametime the pix from the side front of your car it looks really good but then the profile pic it looks really big. i think my eyes need to adjust to it better. although your vert is my favorite one i have seen around. great job!!! i do like the wheels and the nose emblem.
i know you want an ss hood so i think that would set it really nice!!!!!

I'm sending emblem pros my original nose emblem so they can make a template from it and they're gonna make a new one for me that will fit for free!
It's made of stainless steel and the stripes and font is engraved, definitely not a cheap printscreen.

your car looks good! The spoiler really makes the car a little more aggressive. Are you going to put a roll bar in it? You should put some racing seats in too!

The car looks great man! I honestly like the old wheels better, and waiting to see the new eblem. That spoiler looks so cool, and looks like you did a really good job putting it together.
You gonna have Landon spray the stripes?

Looks good man, definitely know it's your car now! First vert with a highrise maybe? Hahah I'm at a crossroads of what rims I want to use as well. I have 10 spoke rims in my garage but I love the blacked out C5 Z06 rims too. OE wheels site is like candy store for car guys

Car looks awesome. One question though. Why did you leave the original trim piece on the rear quarters for the stock wing?

Personal preference. Also taking those caps off requires more body work since there's a hole where the roof is cut off. And the caps give a more aggressive body line in my opinion.

Cool. Just wondering because I don't think I have ever seen a convertable without them. Curious to see what i looks without it. Oh, and blues ones are the best.
