Pulling 305, advice on what to do with it?

Pulling 305, advice on what to do with it?
New to posting, as I'm now down the rabbit hole of an engine swap. I searched around and didn't see this topic.
390/420 crate 350 is on order. Pulling the 1991 RS 305 with 85k original miles. Zero leaks, ticks, smoke, etc.
My question - any idea what to do with the stock motor? What's a stock 305 worth? How best to manage the sale and timing of the sale if I found a buyer, etc? I could save it, but i imagine it would just be in the way for the next ten years. Car is scheduled for suspension and engine swap in about 6 weeks.

It has zero value on the open market. However, being at only 85k miles you may donate it to someone who needs a replacement. Other than that, you'll be giving it away to someone sooner or later. Make a cool end table out of it.

Wish you were closer, I'd take it but the shipping alone wouldn't make it worthwhile.

Sounds like you need to install some leaks, a tick, and 2 smokes so you can go ahead and get that outta there.

I'd keep the engine until the swap is done just in case you need to pilfer good parts from it. If your car is clean it is NOT EASY to find parts like that again. Then put a price on it and see what happens.

I'm assuming this is the original engine from the car.
After you pull it, remove the spark plugs, shoot some oil into the cylinders, replace the plugs, then store it indoors. At some point down the road, you may decide to sell it or give it away; just don't do anything hasty right now.

Mine had 91k mi with just a lil smoke on startup. Sold it for $400 or $500. Went in a TBI pickup worked well for both of us. 305s are a decent lil engine. They are worth something.
