After reading that whole story, the only thing that comes to mind is the fuel pump, have you put a fuel pressure gauge on it? also could be a faulty injector, have you checked them?

Got it, I looked at it yesterday and saw the lower butterflies are present. it is the so called " auxiliary valve" top plate that is missing.

now another question, with the throttle closed it...

that would cut the fuel delivery from the secondaries, but there would still be air being pulled thru them, wacking out the a/f ratio really lean wouldn't it?

My T/A had a Edelbrock 1400 on it when I bought it, but the choke flap is gone, and the secondary plate is missing, so basically all four barrels are pumping all the time.

It starts and runs...

unscrew the hatch light (which it sounds like you've already done), now looking into the hole you will see a plate with a slot in it. All I had to do was insert a flathead screwdriver into said slot...

Sounds like just the solenoid to me, if the whole starter was bad it would crank slow, and be reeaally slow when hot.

Look a them from under the wheelwell, with the front jacked up. The first time I had the front in the air, I could see the bushings being pulled down thru the cutout. But it looked ok from the top...

I am running the GR-2's front and rear, they handle great. even on rough surfaces the rear stays planted under heavy accel., and no wheel hop.

OK so the icm being bad will not prevent the starter from turning, it cuts voltage to the coil to create a pulse, if you tapped the starter and got nothing, it is between the starter and the battery,...

Is it carb? tpi? could be the coil or the icm (ignition control module), just fixed these on mine this weekend. Same symptoms as you turn the key and nothing, replaced the coil first that didn't do...

If your test comes up that there is no juice to either the acc on or constant on, I would check the fuses, I've blown alot of acc fuses, forgeting to disconnect the battery before splicing wires....

I would verify with a test light, or volt meter that you have juice to the main power wire to the headunit, also some makes require that there is power to the memory wire (usually orange or yellow...

The fan needs to PULL air thru the radiator, not push the incoming air back to the front. Kick the dude in the nuts that told u to reverse the wires, or better yet tell him you did it and it cools...

I just picked up an 85 T/A WS6, w/ an L69, 5-speed, a/c, Etc.....
So when I bought it the guy said that the p/s pump was leaking and as a result it had no power steering (no fluid)....so I get it...
