I just had a similar issue with my 1989 C1500 Silverado with TBI and a 350. What it would do is not idle, you would have to hold the accelerator down to keep it running but
it would run very rough....

What I would suggest is use 10w-30 Mobil one full synthetic. Orrrr you could also use the Mobil super 5000 high mileage synthetic blend to combat the puff.

No no not the k-member itself. I'm asking about the supports that box up the frame in front of the k-member which bolt from the k-member to the frame rails that prevent the steering box cracks caused...
