And I'd love to have a t56...but unfortunately it's nearly impossible to get it here where I live...there's just 1 (That's right ONE!) 93+ z28 here and it has that tranny...that's it....

400whp is very often seen on w58 (which is A LOT). Torque wise I'm not sure.....
Some say that they could handle 500whp...but I've never seen one and I'm not really...

Today I got a w58 trans from a Mk3 Supra. I'm going to put it behind my 305 TPI. I wonder if anyone here has done this swap (or r154 swap) and what are the things to keep in mind....

Sorry for the late reply. I haven't done anything with it. I bought a 300zx (which I'm rebuilding now) and my firebird is a daily driver now so I can't start building anything. I might do it later...

it has always been coming on when the key was on and engine off. It has done this kind of thing several times but than it would "repair itself" and the light would come on. This time it didn't...

Yesterday my car died on the go and didn't start afterwards. When I turn the key the check engine light does not light up. This has happened a few times before but after a few tries it would light....

And in that case what would the 5th gear top out at? let's say at 5000rpm? And would overall acceleration be a lot better or slightly better?

I have a 87 TA with borg warner 9 bolt 3.45 gears. I was thinking of putting higher gears. Which would you recommend? Would 4.11's be too much? It's not for drag racing. It's for street use mostly....

It ran really well at the beginning! I didn't expect it to be that smooth...I upped the fuel pressure to 50 psi (but I think it's still not enough) and it ran quiet a bit better than before. But than...

I need to buy a set of springs as soon as possible but I can't open the engine for another 2 weeks or so...

I'll try to explain. My car had a 140mph speedo but 6000rpm tach. I took everything from the donor car and the speedo from that is 140mph but has 8000rpm (I will need that...
