That seems like a great price for a ZZ4 Long Block! Do you know if the engine is a 1 piece rear main seal? (It says Internal Balance) And are those the old school type 58cc Corvette Heads?

There is a switch that is mounted on the side of the transmission. Senses the reverse gear/linkage position. Check it.

I think that what you are seeing with the fuel pressure is normal.

Part of your idle problem is that the fuel pressure is probably too high for a stock 305. Lower the fuel pressure to 44psi with...

I would advise against using the gaskets that come with the 2055's. My gasket set lasted about 1,000 miles.

Sounds like it dies due to a lack of fuel. Did you test the fuel injectors? The injector coil resistance should be about the same for each of them. Somewhere around 14 ohms as I recall. It's a common...

Find someone who rebuilds rear ends for a living and have him do it. These carriers have to be shimed properly, and the ring & pinion have to be set to mesh properly or the gears will wine and drone...

The IAC (Idle Air Control) Valve controls the "Air Leak" and could need to be replaced. It just a Stepper Motor... Probably about $50 from GM. Easy to replace.

I have the same basic engine, however mine is modified. Still, I have had to tweek MAF Table #1 to get the idle BLM's in line.

FYI, My engine compression reads 173 psi +/- 3%

Thanks, but it turns out that the 1986 Flywheel is not what I'm looking for.

The part that I need is from a 1987-1989 LB9 TPI 5-Speed. It's the 16 lb. Flywheel. Can anyone here hook me up?

These TPI systems will do what's called "Lean Pop". It happens when you open the throttle. Pops through the intake. I'd bet you have a bad fuel injector. Do an ohm check on each injector on that side...

Set the timing for 6 deg BTDC. You have to disconnect the ECU timing control wire first.... brown wire. Connector is near the firewall top, on passenger side, inside the engine compartment.

I'm thinking that the 205 was with an Auto Trans single CAT, and 230 HP was with a Manual Trans with dual CATS.... I suspect they have the same engine, same cam.... You would loose about 12 HP in the...

I replaced the Harmonic Balancer and it did not improve the vibration problem.

It turns out that there is a flywheel balancing procedure in the 1992 camaro shop manual and flywheel trimmer weights...
