I agree that it's probably your distributar, i just fixed the same problem in my 83 z, it wasn't the modual itself but the wires going to it,talk to a friend who owns a junkyard and it turns out that...

parting out 82 camaro sc

i'm parting out the body and int of a 82 sc. no doors or front bumper cover but other wise intact. int is maroon and has normal wear but no majopr damage.

i'd say keep it, my old 84 had a 86 front end on it , while my 83 has the original and i like the 82-84 better anyway. to me it fits in with the rest of the car better.

i think that they look ok on a camaro, or a bird with the areo wing, but not with the standard wing. If the car has the restored look then their alright, but i don't care for the way they look on...
