Not sure, not really sure what a throttle valve is. I'm going to take it apart when I get it, i'm just not going too deep. I've built engines but transmissions are a whole diff. level for me.

Shouldn't the car be smoking out of the exhaust if it had excessive blow-by? Theres an exhaust leak because it still has the emissions exhaust manifolds on it but besides that it runs/sounds strong....
