I am not sure, it has the recess bucket with the lever in it and cable as an assembly, there is nothing on the release end under the toneau. maybe someone else in here would know more about...

I put in the spicer set and somewhere on here someone had mentioned that he did same thing and even though springs were lower in the box the car went up. Mine did as well and has a inch and a half...

Vats is easy to bypass, however I saw a solenoid that you can jump terminals on all day that wouldnt do a thing without clicking a remote control.

TPI cars have 2 fans. The above mentioned ac statement is correct. The wire that goes to the pass side head is also in the tpi harness, and is most likely grounded somehow if it did not do it before...

As this applies to convertibles, Im going out on a limb here, but since the DOT regs went by the calendar year, not the model year, I would assume that any 91 convertibles were "modified by ASC" only...

Nick is correct and you will be actually removing the layer of oxidized clearcoat that is there. Be sure to use a wax or polish with High UV protection after as your clearcoat will be thinner. :)
