I faced the same problems. My 87 Formula had the L03 305 from my 90 in it. No matter how I configured it, it was the same cost buying a 355 from blueprint engines as opposed to rebuilding the 305...

Firebird gear in a 69 Chevelle

So I'm wondering, will an engine, rear end, transmission and wheels from an 87 Formula fit a 68 or 69 Chevelle? I know the engine is no problem, both use Gen I GM engines.

Not interested in wiring...

Seriously the pro flo can be overkill. I mean do you have an engine that sucks in 1000cfm? What size engine do you have? What carb? Or is it tbi? Also do you know your hp?

No problem. So you have the one like the one in the second photo? That's a pro-flo filter. The triangle one. But I believe they also make some round ones they call pro-flo.

Actually from the factory it was carb. the 87 Formula with a 305 was the last Firebird to be offered with a computer controlled carb. You could get it with TBI but this one wasn't.
