Re: 700r4 won't go into 4th when hot

I would suspect a TV issue with the throttle valve getting stuck perhaps

Re: constant pressure valve body?

Re: 700r4 shifts too hard at low speed

As Dana mentioned possibly a shift kit also could be a broken accumulator spring or stuck one. It would definatley be accumulator or valve body related

Re: Won't shift into gear?

Sounds like in both cases your shifter cable either broke or came undone either at the shifter in console or more likley under the car.

Generally that valve is a option not something automatically used in a build for the reason some people do not like it due to part throttle kick down issues

Re: Help?

Unfortunately if you've been driving in low on fluid then likely you have burned up the 3-4 clutch set . Do not take much take.
You are going to need a trans:(

Re: Converter lock up question

with the gears you have you probably need a lighter weight converter such as comes in taxis and police car this will raise the shift point and make for a much better feel .

Re: lost 3rd and 4th gear on 700r4

There are several possibilities as to why it when out suddenly a common thing is the 3-4 clutch clearance gets high and can cause the snap ring or even drum to break at the snap ring location

The harness only has to do with lock now you shouldn't leave it unplugged indefinatley but unplugging it will eliminate the converter or trans as the cause of your bog
