i've got about 3 small grounds then 1 2guage bolted to the alt braket. so i don't think that is the problem, but these cars have shitty electrical systems anyway, but even if the car is still warming...

I also backed off the knock sensor and torqued it down to 8ft,lbs just incase it was too tight and giving me false readings.

Well the maf sensor is descreened and i cut the fins off of it, soo it i'm not all to worried about the physics of the arodynamics of the pipe, but it's good to know. The elbow at the tb is 3.5"...

Ok yes it is partly made from pvc pipe but it has a 3" ID and was cheap, it's a MAF car. I had to extend the harness and modify the hood and remove the charchol canister.

I love these forums but i sometimes just call up a reputible engine shop and ask their opinion. Maybe if theres a shop around you with some lsx expeirence they could lend some helpfull info.

I can't say it's unsafe to run.080" but thats close to factory i believe, and mine doesn't go away, it still ticks just not the loud tick it has when i first start her up, sounds like the rockers are...

I gotta say it but that .060" of preload you would have had with the thunder racing push rods is the kinda pre-load your want for a performance motor. i'd hate to say .080 is even scary for a motor...

What does your car run in the 1/4, i'm hoping for 13.8, if not then i'm gonna be doing an LT1 intake conversion. I'm runnin a 305 with about 9.5:1 compression and stock heads and intake setup.
