I think I may have found the problem. The radiator fins on the outside are completely plugged up with leaves and dirt.

I looked up the part number and it is a reverse rotation water pump. I still think it might be the water pump though because I didnt start to have problems until i replaced it.

I have heard that too much coolant and not enough water will make it run hot because the coolant retains the heat. I was told to drain the rad a little and add more water, should i try this?

I found a 3 inch cat, and i think i might go with that becuase later in the year im going to get some headers and it will make it a lot easier then, because the Y pipe will be 3 inches.
