Anyone have any thoughts or experience with the 305 TBI Wynajammer Supercharger? www.TBI-Superchargers.com Looks like a decent set-up (kit) thats makes some nice power for a stock car. They do recommend a high-flow exhaust. Thanks in advance for any help, Jack

Is the system for 100% stock motors, with the exception of the recommended parts?, and how much more power does it make?

power output dependent upon boost 6psi = 20-25% 8psi= 25%-30% 10psi=35%-40%

EDIT: Also. just noticed that they're using a toothed belt to driven the centrifugal compressor. That's a no-no, I'd avoid this.

I think they are fine for the boost they're running...the kits are usually 5-6 psi. If you start turning up the boost, then you may have to start worrying about the belt.

fuel system changes? Give it what it needs. higher FP and higher injector size AND an ECU that handles boost(2 bar MAP >100). And a stronger fuel pump.

why is that a no no??

Belt driven centrifugal compressors work with an extremely high internal overdrive gear because the the compressor has to get up to 100,000 rpms or so to work well. This gear arrangement, is fragile because of this. The stress of the rapid changes on engine speed, (mostly deceleration under hard braking) can break these gears if a toothed belt is used. With a V-belt the supercharger slips a little when these changes get to high and all is well.

This is one of the reasons you typically don't see centrifugal superchargers on cars from the factory.
