Ok, I have a 1986 Iroc-z.... The previous owner pulled out the lil ol 305 tpi and he rebuilt a 350 (.030 bore, Not sure if he rebuilt the 70s smog heads...)

Here is a pic after I got it home. I still need to do the trim striping, Iroc decals, and z28 emblems. maybe some factory small pinstripes on the upper doors and fenders (gold and black of course..)...

They have a one year flake and gloss warrenty, I beleive I signed a waiver for it because I did all the prep and body work myself voiding the warrenty, The local "Professional" body shop wanted 4k to...

Makes sense, Probably just a carb thing, I was wondering if it could be the lockup on the converter, I have a vacuum setup on it. I have it on a timed vacuum port, does that sound ok?

Downhill surging Edelbrock 600

When i am going down a hill at approx 1/16th pedal I get this wierd surging, sounds like it might be backfiring gently too, but not the normal cackle... Very suttle.

I have a rebuilt 350 (.030)...

Thats what I learned as well, possibly a better running engine with the vacuum hooked up at idle.

Coincidentally I got a rebuild kit from jegs when I ordered the new fuel pump too. Sounds good! I figured out I had my vacuum advance hooked up to the No-vacuum at idle port (pass side port). Got it...

I figured out what the problem was.... Its 43 degrees in my garage. Which is warm to me conisdering we have had a 0 degree winter. I got a heatlamp on the panel, keeping it at 100 degrees now....

Slot the bottoms so I can hold the stud with screwdriver and very slowly take them off

I have some rust on the passengers corner on my 1986 Iroc-Z28. I am not sure how to exactly go about fixing it, I dont think it will be too hard, I do have a nice mig welder and some welding skills...

probably a vacuum issue, check the tv cable too, if the line pressure is too high it can cause the engine to have a hard time. does it fight the brakes a lot?

When i did the carb swap about 2 months ago I put in all new hardlines for the fuel to the pump, return and vent.

The filter has had about 10 gallons through it. tank was cleaned when I dropped it...
