I hated the way sunbleached carpet looked too. I spent like $150 on used carpet for my Firebird and regretted it. 1A auto sells new for like $300. Its well worth it, and they will send you samples...

I've had the 3.1 in other cars before and it ran really hot. The newer ones ran at 220-230, and had one that ran at close to 240 constantly. It is "normal" but too hot for my taste.
