Well I got the wheels. Great shape with new BFG Gforce ta tires. I went to put them on the car and forgot about how far out our bearing housings sit :'( any one know of an alternative hub or whatever...

I have the chance to buy a set of RallyIII's (new GTO wheels) with tires for $300. They're the same bolt pattern as our cars, but I just wanted to see if anyone else here has done this or knows that...

The oil pan on the 400's won't clear your k member. You'll need an aftermarket pan. I used the canton racing one on mine. That'll run you around $300 tho unfortunately :/

If you're using the stock heads, you're not going to see over 350. Torque should still be around 400 though :D

PB blaster on the bolts. Have someone hold the trans end of the shaft with a long pry bar thru where the universal joint is while you get the bolts loose. Also might wanna try using the parking brake...

For sure not dropping the tank. Too big of a headache. The gas has been in there for like 3 years with stabilizer in it but I'm not sure how much that helps after that long

$900 a pair is about the same price as my vortecs if you buy them from the same place. So yea I'd go patriots ;) I only got my new ones so cheap cause a guy bought them new from summit and had them...

The air gap is what the guys use to get 500-600 horsepower out of the 400. I have one too. The vortec heads are cheaper than the edelbrocks and patriots and should give you at least 400hp with that...
