55 chevy for xmas
Had to share this with some car guys.
this is a surprise xmas present for my Dad. My mother gave me the go ahead to find him one about a month ago. It just arrived tonight via transport from vegas.
It will be a total surprise for him. So I can't tell to many of our friends. But I thought I would post up some pics. Its a real real nice Solid car. Has vintage air, chromed out 350 crate motor and serpatine belt set up,700r4, 4 wheel disc brakes. looks real good in my garage next to the bird. to bad I have to give it up in a few days. But my parents live about 3 blocks away so I am sure I will "borrow" it a few times.

well this thing was like holding a hot potato. My mom got way over excited and we ended up giving him the car this afternoon. she had him outside the house and I just drove up in the driveway with it. It was a great moment, seeing some one get there dream car, and he had not a clue it was coming.
His first car was my grandfathers 55 150 sedan. its was the whole familys car and they couldn't afford much back then so it had the inline six and only one sun visor. apparently you had to pay for add on stuff like ashtrays and mirrors.
anyway this car has it all and is totally cool. cruized around pearland and freindswood in it all afternoon. it was like sitting on your couch and being driven around. Anyway, I hope everybody has a good Christmas. I already did!!

nice. the 55 is the coolest out of the tri 5. it's got that stare that only a few old cars have.
