My question is dose anybody know what back spaceing is required to fit (17x11 wheels with 315x35x17 tires) on the rear of a 92 Z28.
I understand that the inner well needs some modification.
Any help would be Greatly appreciated.
Thanks

It depends on how much you want the wheel to stick out. If you want them to look good then you will need to modify the LCA less than if you have them stick out a little. Are these new rims what you can specify the backspacing on?
check out ws6.com he had his stock wheels widened so some modifications were needed. I don't know if he moved the rim out a little though.
Do you have any trouble with your front rims scraping your inner fender well? It looks like you have had to do some serious trimming. Did you raise your bump stops?
Yep,
I whant to use the SLP ZR1 style Camaro SS wheels 17X11 on the rear and I'll keep My 17X9's on the front.
TPIS Also has the wheels, they have too different backspacings on their 17X11 wheels, 36mm & 50mm.
I guess I'll go with the 36mm and add an addapter as nessasarry, unless the 50mm will bolt on and not stick out to far.

omega,no i dont scrape my inner fender wells and havent messed with the bump stops either.but if i hit a dip like on the freeway going at a decent speed,i'll rub a bit on the outermost plastic wheel well just inside of the fender lips.
lbsz28,i suggest getting the 50mm,you'll won't need as big of an adapter.i have the 50mm which is the grand sport offset, and i needed the 1 1/4" adapter.i hope this info will help you out.
