A - AIR diverter valve
B - Connector sends signal for left side valve
C - Connector sends signal for right side valve operation
* - Both valves determine whether you are letting air get put in the exhaust to decrease certain emissions
D - Coolant bypass, bypasses your heater core so the A.C. is not blown through a hot heater core
E - Hose from heater core, comes from firewall
F - Hose to return coolant back to radiator if bypassing heater core

Am I right?

When I unplugged the B and C connectors.. it makes this really afall sound,... Why is this??/ I was experimenting to see what would happen.. and its just making a rough gringing air sound.. when I de accelerate...

I just ordered headers with out AIR and need to remove the systemmm... any ideas?

The tech article didnt provide much assistance..

I have headers with out air or any of that junk. When you get your headers unbolt the air pump and get the shorter belt. Cut the connectors off, tape up the ends of the wires and tuck them into the harness conduit. The heater water diverter can be deleted and the hoses run from the rear of the intake to the heater core and the other hose from the heater core runs to the radiator on the right side. In Fla. you might not even need the heater hooked up at all. Good luck!

I read somewhere that an air pump is actually better and makes more power. Something about clearing out the exhaust system or something like that? It was in a reputable magazine too I just don't remember the exact one. But I'm sure it would be worth it just to clean up the engine bay.
