No luck
Should I push down on the housing while doing this?
Which direction is the rotor supposed to turn? Counter-clockwise?
Thanks

The rotor turns clockwise. If that didnt work the just pull the distributor up and turn the rotor a bit .

Coool glad that I could help. And yes line the rotor up with the #1 terminal and you should be fine , as long as the #1 cylinder is at TDC

I am at TDC,
I just can't turn the rotor now that it is in.
Sorry for causing all these problems. Any suggestions now?

If the motor is at TDC just watch what terminal on the distributor cap your rotor is pointing at, and put your #1 plug wire on that terminal. you'll also have to the rest of your wires to keep them in the right order.
