Weird grinding noise while turning left

Sorry to post a non-thirdgen question here, but my wife's 92 S10 Blazer makes this strange grinding/whirring noise while driving, especially while turning left. The noise fluctuates with RPM's and seems to be coming from the left front axle. The steering feels fine for the most part. I have also noticed a squeak in this area while hitting any bump. I think the squeak is coming from the shock, but I can't be sure. Is this the shock, bushing, tie rod end/sleeve or all of the above? Thanks guys.

Has it had the brakes replaced recently? Has the front suspension been examined? Do you mean the noise changes with actual speed, or engine speed?

Brakes were done about a year ago and are working really well...the sound changes with actual speed, not engine rpms. How can you examine the front suspension? It sounds almost like something is being dragged along the ground, but I looked and couldn't find anything.

You mean like on that plastic flap? I'll check that, but I don't think that's it...

Try pushing on the brakes while driving. If the noise stops or quiets down. Then i would say it is the brakes.. Chevy is famous for there brakes to make noise after a while... which is caused by brake dust cought inbetween the pad and rotor. If that doesn't take care of it. Look at the axle to see if there is anything wrong there. They should be CV axles. sometimes the joint goes bad. But they mostly make a clicking noise while turning.
