Look at my plugs, rich or lean?

At first my plugs were really dark and i knew that it was running way rich, so i made some adjustments to the carb and finally got it tuned right, then i drove it again for about 30 minutes, alot of that under heavy acceleration, it felt like the more i drove it the better it ran. here is what they look like now, to me they look just a tad bit dark, what do you think? If i put a bigger gap on the plugs will it help lean it out a bit?

hard to tell. if they were already all black from being too rich, you might not have run it long enough for the leaner condition to clean them up. maybe try driving some more and see if they get lighter or darker from their present condition.

Take the car for a WOT run on an open road. Then, put it in neutral, shut the engine down, then pull the plugs and see what they look like.

I think it looks like you need to use a new set of plugs and start over. I have no idea what they looked like to begin with, thus I can draw no conclusions.
If you are going to try and tune like that with plugs only, have a few sets ready.

Well, i may buy a new set and check it after i run it. How long should i run it before it changes the color of the plugs all the way?

UPDATE

Ok, well i got a new set of plugs, adjusted the timing and carb a little, and wow the car runs great now. Doesnt miss or hesitate or anything. Only thing is i pulled the plugs and they still look brand new, i mean the color hasnt changed. Does this meant that it is running lean?

Id say throw in a new set of plugs....and run the car through the paces...hard acceleration, idling, everything you normally do when you drive...give it a solid hour of driving if you can afford gas..lol *** knows it aint gettin cheaper to run our cars...

after running through all the normal conditions that you go through...u should get a good indication on the plugs...post new pics after you do it
