My 083's are back! PICS!

After much trial and tribulation my heads are back and on! I ported them my self, I had a 3 angle valve job done with a 30 degree back cut. I went with LT4 springs and Viton positive seals. Also had a clean up done on the head surface of 10 thous.

Dude, I know your joking. Kevin did hit the bowl with the Serdi just to clean them up. I opened the bowls to 85%, according to the information I had on hand this is correct for a street car.

Re: My 083's are back! PICS!

Eagle223usa, do your GM 1.6 RR fit inside your center bolt valve covers? I have a set of Summit G6906 and mine look so similar to your GM RR. My point is mine dont fit in my center bolt valve cover.
here are what mine look like...

I believe the GMPP's were made by Crane for GM. And yes they fit with centerbolts!

Porting pics... First, Just back from the machine shop. Next two are as porting progressed. Sorry they are out of sequence, I just noticed I had the first pic mislabeled, fixed now!

Sorry Bro, I don't have the part numbers. These were included with the car. They just have a bowtie and 1.6 stamped on them.

If those are the same rocker you have thats in the pic you dont have the correct rockers for centerbolt valvecovers.
Crane used to make the rockers 4 GM, I think scorpion does now

Re: My 083's are back! PICS!

You are very correct. These RR that I got are too wide for my centerbolt covers. My friend has the blue self aligning Scorpions and they do fit under his centerbolt covers. So not to hi-jack the thread, let's get back to the 083 topic shall we?

Re: My 083's are back! PICS!

From the GMPP 2008 catalog the aluminum full roller rocker arms (blue in color, self-aligning style, rocker ratio and bowtie emblem samped on the top) are available in two ratios:

1.5:1 ratio, part number 12370838 for a full set (12367345 for a single rocker arm)
1.6:1 ratio, part number 12370839 for a full set (12367346 for a single rocker arm)
