Re: Cheap 300hp
64 cc heads, headers, high flow exhaust set up. Toss the smog bs. Then if tpi, tune your prom to match

What are the suggestions for a good set of inexpensive aluminium heads for a 350 TPI?

Re: Cheap 300hp
Late aluminum L98 heads with the d port exhaust (113s), also come on the zz4 crate engine, can be found cheap some times. Other times they're outrageously high for what they are. GM claims they'll support 350 hp. They're either 58 ccs or 64 I don't remember atm. Sure there's way better aaftermarket out there but I've seen a set or two sell extremely cheap. Search ebay, craigslist, classifieds, etc. you may find something way better.

How about these heads? http://desmoines.craigslist.org/pts/2629347969.html
Id say no but its your own car and your needs are specific. Can't ask people on here what's best really bc one person will give advice on a torquey motor, somebody else insisting on a high end screamer. Then you'll have the guy who's cheap for the sake of being cheap, or somebody who has more money than the rest of us put together and will talk about how the only parts you should get are the ones you can't afford. I guess what I was trying to say before my rant tho was you should take a long time to decide exactly what you want before you buy anything, or you'll end uplike me nd spend way to much money and decide you're going another route

Re: Cheap 300hp
Couple of the things here. It isn't an l98 it's a goodwrench crate 350 with like 190hp stock. I have it torn down right now and it has dished pistons already. So would those be good heads?

Re: Cheap 300hp
Stick some bolt on TPI or aftermarket intake on it of some sort and with headers it should break over 300hp crank easily. I dont know how good those stock GM 190hp heads are but I think they are the 76cc stuff and small valved. L98 iron or even the vette aluminum L98 heads are much better castings.
