I need help fast!!

My wife put her car in a canal tring not to hit a deer (I know, she should have hit the damn thing.. Lol). So now my project car has to get on the road. 92 tpi. I had a hard time getting it to start. When I finely got it fired it would run like crap for a lil while then would get better. Then a few days ago it stopped running all together... After I put a fuel cleaner in it... I replaced the fuel filter, and while it was off I put a bottle on the fuel line and turned the key. Gas came out about as hard as one would pee. I then put in a new fuel pump. It ran on the first try. But only for 30 sec. Then would not start again. Now it will only run if I use starting fluid. I need help

Good, but how old was the gas that was in there? Also what is your fuel pressure? Should be around 43.5 lbs with the vacuum line unplugged (while it's running of coarse) Not sure what it should read with just the key on. someone chime in or do a search.
