1990 Iroc in autotrader

There's a 1990 5.7 hardtop IROC in the autotrader with 47 000 km's on it for 10 500.00, all original 2nd owner vehicle. The guy is motivated because he just bought a GNX. Only problem is its in Wawa. Just incase any of you guys have an extra 10g's burning a hole in your pocket, here is the link http://www.trader.ca/Search/Details.asp?CAT=1

or the fact that it had aluminum heads... who cares... just buy a regular iroc and spend the extra money and put some vortech heads in.

1990 IROC were suppose to have the most Horsepower out of any 3rdgen camaro's... they are a super nice car and there wasn't alot of them made either.. it was a short production year.

yeah i know all that

but who cares about an extra 15 HP. i was actually going to buy a 90 iroc before my 92, i had my deposit on it, it was one of the sweetest cars i've seen of all time. but that deal fell through. it even had blue striping u can't see in this picture... had headers, was showroom condition, 90,000 kms, and i was getting it for $7000.... even had $3000 17 inch borbet rims on it.

i'm happier with my 92Z though. a little more money in my baby and it will smoke any 90 iroc :P

You gotta stop buying stickers for your car if you want to beat a 90 IROC .........

Aluminum heads? This car doesn't have them, it is the standard unmolested 5.7. It also has a leather interior. A fully optioned low miliage 3rd gen with an L98, Iroc or not is desirable in my opinion.

The aluminum heads were only available on the Corvette 5.7L and not the F body.

Car: 92Z28, 99SS, 83Z28 & 86GTA
Engine: 421, LS1, 327Turbo & 383
Transmission: T-56, 4L60E, T5 & 4L60
Axle/Gears: 4:10, 3:42, 2:73 & 3:27
We had a 350 TPI 1990 Iroc, very sweet car. Out handled my 92 Z28 anyday of the week and was way way faster stock. Only 4000 or so Irocs were made in 1990, that makes it rare. Also the 1990 Iroc was supposed to be the fastest Iroc made. Not sure if thats just the 350 TPI or all Irocs. That another reason peeps want it. Plus of course it is the last year of the Iroc. Now I cant say I would pay the $10,500 that guy is ask'n but thats just me. We sold our 1990 Iroc for $8500 and it only had somewere around 75,000km on it.

The guy that owns our old 1990 is plan'n on selling it this summer if anyone is interested. No Idea of the price at the moment.

When you consider that the car only has 47 000kms on it the 10 500 asking price isn't out of line. The Palric clone car (or maybe it is Richards?) is in the 9,900 dollar range. What did Easy pay for his again?Anyhow considering the car also has leather and is a hardtop which makes it more rigid I think its not a bad deal at all for someone looking for the best of the IROC's. Wish I had the coin lying around.

sorry but 10000$ for a 305, low millage even, non g92 option is wayyyy to much to brag about. 10500 for the 350, which is 95% a g92 model, is a moderate price, considering you bring 9500$ to his face, he will more than likely take it. i wouldn't even look at a camaro/transam witha 305. my preference.

they never came with aluminum heads, the reason they are faster the the other rocs is becuase of the SD. And easy, you know what makes a 1990 IROC 350 great, not only that it is fairly rare, but, it can smoke your car, TWICE, hahaha

Just outa curiousity whats SD.

I had a chance to buy a 90 Iroc several years ago when i bought my 85 (ended up buying the slowest IROC lol go LG4, but I love the color and wanted a 5 spd) now I wish I would have researched a little more. So if someone could please tell me why the 90 is the fastest thirdgen I would love to learn.

SD = Speed Density, its instead of the MAF on 85-89 IROCS, other changes for the 90 are the new gauge cluster and steering wheel. But the only reason that the 90 is the fastest 'stock' roc is for the SD system i believe

6 years ago, i worked at a dealership, and they took a 90 Iroc, 350 loaded, on a trade. mint with 70000kms. I knew the boss so he gave me the car for the weekend. Black with the blue and silver pin stripes. Man what a nice car. I bought mine 4 years ago, with 110000kms for half what they wanted for that 90. I stole mine. Im not gonna say what i paid for it, but lets say, i paid half what Easy paid. 350 G92 and loaded. Now after about 8000$ in upgrades, she flies. And i did 98% of the work. I love the fun of taking stuff apart, puttin new stuff in and it works hahahhha.:lala:
