Whats a TPI wiring harness look like?
I wanna put stock whatever back in my car but I'm not sure what it is. I think its TPI so I took a pic to see if you guys could verify it..I think its an awful lot of wires for tbi and I know it wasn't carbed. There's also a few on the other side. I'm just glad they didn't cut it all out when they did the conversion..wonder if the tpi's pump is still in the tank lol

Depending on what year, 88 and earlier will have a 9th injector plug, and the 89 and later wont. There will be a 3 pin plug next to a square 4 pin plug. Thats the TPS and IAC respectively. The MAF is a 5 pin plug. CTS will be 2 pins, one yellow and one black. Locate these, and it should be a TPI harness.

Check the numbers on the ECM, if it's still there
You can also compare C100 pinouts as TBI had a unique layout
You're going to have a hard time telling if its TPI/TBI/V6 just from the harness unless you know what each plug is as you look at it or can find 8-9 injector plugs
Also, if its the 87 in your avatar then its original carb, TPI or V6. TBI wasnt introduced until 88
Thinking about it it looks like a TPI harness, namely from the pair or A.I.R. diverter connectors which the V6 didnt have

Carb cars were the only ones with pass side fuel lines
By the stupid pinch clamps, Id guess those are emission lines rather than pressurized fuel lines
The OP's pic is not the best, maybe the injector wires were cut off or are on the opposite side of the engine

Re: Whats a TPI wiring harness look like?
All wires are still attached, none have been cut. It was originally a 305, not a V6 and it wasn't originally carbed. I dunno what work was done after we got it I was only 14 and dad did all the work to it all I know is that he converted it to carb. I picked up all the MPFI stuff for $50 a few days ago and I'd like to put it on, but there arent any wires that go to the injectors so unless there was another little harness that attaches to the main one..well I dunno really.
